Recent sermons reviewed for us that we have already received the blessings in the areas of healing, finances, relationships, etc., but we need to ask, believe, and do what God asks us to do. He has already supplied what we need.
The first sermon focused on 2 Peter 1:3: "...as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, ..."
Pastor Steve asked how desperate are we? Desperation implies an absence of hope. The only reason for a Christian to be desperate is if that person doesn't believe that God has already supplied what is needed.
A second sermon followed with teaching about believing you have already received, as found in the Scriptures in Mark 11. As Pastor Steve put it: STOP WHINING AND EAT!
The third sermon title "Check Your Receiver" focused on learning to listen to God, so that we will know what we are to do to receive. When Jesus healed, he always gave the person an instruction to follow, so that they would receive their healing. They had to believe and follow that instruction.
